After decades and half a dozen of our pets getting care at a Port Alberni clinic we had an emergency and were turned away after telling us our pet "needs to be seen right away but we can't get you in for 2-3 weeks". We called your clinic, we're asked the very same questions and you had us in the next morning. Unfortunately Dr. Mortenson gave us a diagnosis that we had suspected and we had to book on home euthanasia 10 days later. You agreed to see our other dog and we couldn’t be happier

I appreciated that the Dr. And other staff were respectful about my concerns on vaccinating and did their best to answer all of my question without judgement. They were very professional, friendly and thorough.

I took my sister's dog to this vet for a tablet to get rid of her fleas, this was a cash grab as they didn't do anything asked a few questions attempted to get listen to her heart. They never bothered to look a her ears or take her temperature or look at the itch gave her a few pets and some treats. It was 200 dollars they won't give it unless you see them Im sure all vets are like this I would never charge an owner that much . If you want a real vet port Alberni vets is in my opinion the best

This veterinary clinic is the best in the oceanside area hands down! They have the most caring compassionate staff, and Dr Rhett Mortenson is one of the kindest people I have ever met. They always accommodate for our unique needs and are always pleasant and kind. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone with a pet who is looking for veterinary care

$2,000+ to have a dog's teeth cleaned!? Let me clarify that this dog is only four years old and had her teeth cleaned by our old vet only 14 months ago, also under anesthetic. She had one molar excised at that time. The cost was $362.00. Today we went to pick up our Pomeranian and were presented with a bill for $2,077.00 for cleaning and 4 extractions. (Two of which were questionable) We were told we would receive an email with a quote. We never did. When we dropped off the dog this morning

Excellent caring staff took care of our little pup during knee surgery. Dr. Mortenson was awesome. Staff very helpful after surgery with support and answered and questions we had.

They went above and beyond to fit us in for an appointment when we first moved to Parksville and our aging dog was ready to cross the rainbow bridge and we were without a vet. They treated us with care and compassion in a timely manner, rather than telling us how they were too busy to fit us in like others did. They will always be our family vet!

My german shepherd sardar had a very bad ear infection and when I called on Sunday morning to get him looked at they went above and beyond to get him in,he did indeed have a what I was told a raging infection. The vet was amazing with him and took time to ease his mind and mine befriending him and gaining his trust before taking samples from his ear. He is after all a big scary barking German shepherd she didn't even seem to be worried and just reassured him I can't thank her and everyone enough
