I visited Sgt. Pepper's in AJAX this weekend with my husband and after reading the reviews I was really worried. WOW, were we surprised!
Perhaps there were changes made since the last reviews were posted: we had a friendly server who was very attentive throughout our meal, brought drinks quickly and was able to remember everything about our order and that of another table's without writing anything down.
We had the Calamari, Veggie Samosas, Burger with Fries and Steak Sandwhich with Peppercorn sauce. The calamari was lightly breaded and crispy without being oily, my samosas while not authentically "indian" had a really nice potato and veggie filling, served with sweet chili sauce. My husband said his burger and fries were really good.
I think a good test of a kitchen is how they handle something like a steak sandwhich. Mine was not the run of the mill piece of shoe leather I've had at other places. This was a tender juicy piece of beef that was actually cooked how I'd asked for it, served on a not-too-garlicky ciabatta bun and the fries were great.
I'm not sure what people expect out of the decor of your average burger join, but the booths were fine and the whole restaurant and both bathrooms were really clean. Overall, I'd say that this was a really good experience and I'm sure both my husband and I will return to this location.

I’m in awe of how wonderful the staff are here. I needed help and direction on how to fix a crank arm on my bike but wasn’t sure on how to go about doing it and what to look for. I had two visits at Impala Bicycles for this ‘fixing one’s bike’ journey. Each encounter was a wonderful experience and am grateful for meeting these staff members. Honestly...the service may be kinda bad...and they may get quite a bit wrong...but its the only sushi in town that I will eat. The food is amazing quality (when you get it). I absolutely love it. I go quite often, and I tell people to go there. Yes, they need to amp up the service...but compared to how great the food is, the service is not really that important lol :)

We have had great experiences here with our very lively Shih Tzu since she was 12 weeks old. We took her elsewhere once and it was not a good experience. The groomer complained that she was very active. She is now 15 months old, and always comes away looking wonderful, with no complaints from the staff. We recommend Durham Dog Groomers highly!

Ron and team saved the day! Bought a house that turned out didnt have air conditioning, and moved in during a heat wave. Evening was great however the “large plates” are not so large in food quantity. You see a large plate but the food is tiny. You cannot share these plates. We went for lunch once and their food plates had more food.

Ordered for delivery 2 large pizzas for Canada Day party 2019 from Whitby Ontario Dominos (Dundas St location) - one vegetarian, the other Hawaiian. Both absolutely delicious, delivered hot and in 35 minutes as promised. Will definitely be ordering from them again.

The Shanghai Kitchen Restaurant in Whitby is now under new management and quality seems to be their number one priority. The food is very fresh and tasty. The restaurant is more a takeaway/delivery place but the prices and staff are awesome. I would recommend giving the Shanghai Kitchen a try.
Everything was wonderful and look forward to more awesome meals from this location.
