Cook's Day Off provided a cocktail-style reception for our wedding. The food was incredible, and the service was even better. They went over and above to make sure our day was perfect. They also coordinated with the rental company and arranged drop-off and pick-up of dishes, etc. We didn't have to worry about anything. Our family usually goes across the street for Christmas dinner but this year they were closed so we decided to try Haro. We were not disappointed in fact this will be the new family tradition . The meal was classic with a sophisticated twist and the portions were extremely generous . The service was lovely and the kitchen staff were calm and professional from our vantage point . LOVE! with so many options for Chinese in Victoria, you can't go wrong with Sampan Express. If you are looking for table side service, linen, candle light, may be a bottle of wine.....etc.. this would NOT be the place for you . They aren't the best but hey.... for around 10 bucks a head you get a decent meal , I had a 3 items combo from their hot table for just $9.25 + tax. my girlfriend Linda had a wonton soup......best wonton.....said Linda.
